The Benefits of Visiting Our Showroom

The majority of our potential clients will initiate their contact with us by sending an email or calling us on the phone, and requesting a free in-home consultation. While we in no way discourage this, I would humbly suggest that the better route to take would be to first stop by our Showroom. We are open from 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 to 3:00 on Saturday, which should accommodate almost any schedule.

The reason I see it most beneficial to visit our Showroom before making an in-home consultation appointment is, by visiting, you will have the opportunity to meet with multiple members of our staff, from design, to pricing, to production. Even potentially the installers who will be working on your job, the bookkeeper who can answer any questions related to financing, and the marketing team who will gift you with a promotional item or two! We might be having an employee’s birthday party and invite you in for a slice of ice cream cake. You will have an inside view into our company culture instead of one stranger appearing on your doorstep.

Sometimes a walk-in client will be greeted by one of our designers, begin a discussion about their project, and come to a technical question that that individual is not an expert on. We can easily grab the nearby expert, and answer your question for you right there. Have a question about how long your project will take to start? Ask our production department, who know their schedules better than anyone. You can even meet the owner and shake his hand. I think you are beginning to get my point.

Additionally, we have thousands of product samples here that will inspire you. You will have a much better direction of which samples you would like brought out to your home during the in-home consultation. You can even borrow some to take home with you!

I would sincerely suggest visiting us here, developing a rapport with a design consultant, and then making an appointment for him/her to meet with you at your home to proceed further. By visiting us you will have a much clearer picture of whether or not our company is a good fit for you. Call 596-777-6633 to make an appointment to come visit, or walk-ins are always welcome!

When to Repair or Replace Your Roof + FREE Gutter Guards

Leaks, renovations, and old age: no matter what the motivation, there never seems to be a convenient time to deal with roofing issues. So how do you know when you should simply repair your roof or invest in a whole new one?

The first, and most important, factor is age. The lifespan of roofing materials vary widely, so it’s good to know what you’re dealing with first.

Asphalt: The most common shingles in roofing, these materials typically last 15 to 20 years. New, high-quality shingles sometimes claim a lifespan up to 40 years.

Wood: Made of western red cedar, cypress, pine and redwood trees, these shingles can last for 15 years or more, depending on the quality and the type of the wood.

Slate: They may be expensive, but slate roofs can last up to 100 years.

Concrete and Clay: These heavy materials are very durable and can last up to 200 years.

Metals: Metal roofs have long been used on commercial properties but are now also being used on contemporary residences, too. Metal roofs can last for centuries.

The second factor to consider is the type of issue you are having. Many roof leaks can be repaired for the short term without having to replace the entire roof. Leaks often occur when there are problems with the flashing, the thin, continuous pieces of sheet metal or other impervious material installed to prevent the passage of water into a structure from an angle or joint. You’ll usually see this when two parts of a roof join together, where the roof meets the chimney or where the roof meets a plumbing vent. If you’re finding that there is extensive damage from moisture to the roofing layer or any interior surfaces, you should probably consider a full replacement.

Another factor to consider is the shape of your shingles. If you’re missing a few shingles, or a handful are damaged, you can replace them. If more than 30 percent of your roof has torn, split, curled or missing shingles, it’s time to add a new roof. You’ll sometimes see this suddenly after a bad hailstorm.

Lastly, if your home recently survived a major catastrophe, such as a tornado or hurricane, you might very well need a new roof. You’ll usually damage beyond what you can usually see.

Your best bet is to call reputable roofing professional. They will do a thorough inspection and give you options of what you can do to repair your roof and compare those to the cost and benefits of total or partial replacement.

SPRING SPECIAL! Our back room is full of a bunch of extra gutter guard material. So with every new roof, we are giving away FREE gutter protection. Roof Replacement | and Why We No Longer Do Roof Repairs

Many people ask us: “Do you do Roofing?”  And the answer is YES!!!  But there are stipulations.

We do not do Roof Repairs, only Full Roof Replacements.

Though this might seem strange, the answer is quite simple.  Because we offer a Lifetime Workmanship Warranty on all of our work, if we were to complete a roof repair, we would then be held accountable for any problems with that roof down the line.  This has happened to us in the past, and the customer took us to court over it, saying that our inadequate repair was the cause of their roof’s demise. The judge ruled that “if you touch it, you own it” and we had to replace their entire roof for free.

We now only do full roof replacements, so we can dive all the way in, address all issues with ventilation and whatnot, and walk away knowing there wont be any problems for 20 years.  We would love to replace your entire roof for you, but unfortunately cannot complete any repairs.
