You’ve decided it’s time to transform your kitchen or bathroom, but where do you begin? A successful remodel starts with a thoughtful design process that turns your ideas, needs, and budget into a clear plan for your new space.
The Initial Consultation
The design process begins with an initial consultation focused on understanding your goals, style, budget, and how you want your new space to function. Whether you arrive with a Pinterest board full of ideas, inspiration from other homes, or no idea where to begin, our design team will help you find the right direction.
Some homeowners already have a clear vision when they come in, while others are still exploring their options. Both are great starting points. During your first consultation, we’ll walk through a variety of styles, materials, colors, and design possibilities to help identify what appeals to you.
And if you’re not sure what you want yet, that’s perfectly fine. Knowing what you don’t like can be just as valuable. From there, our designers can begin narrowing the possibilities and developing a kitchen or bathroom design that feels right for your home, lifestyle, and personal style.
The Selection Process
Next comes one of the most exciting parts of the remodeling design process: making your selections. From cabinetry, countertops, and flooring to backsplash tile, grout, hardware, and finishes, there are plenty of decisions to make. Our design team guides you through the options so each selection works together to create a cohesive space.
While style is important, functionality matters just as much. We’ll talk about how you use your kitchen or bathroom, what works in your current space, what doesn’t, and what could make everyday life easier. The goal is to create a finished design that looks beautiful while functioning naturally for your needs.
Between appointments, many homeowners continue gathering inspiration from Pinterest, Google, magazines, and other sources. Save the kitchens, bathrooms, colors, materials, and details that catch your attention. Bringing those ideas to your next showroom appointment gives our designers even more insight into the look and feel you’re hoping to create.
Showroom Visit
At our showroom, you’ll have the opportunity to explore materials and finishes in person and begin bringing your design together. From cabinetry and countertops to backsplashes, flooring, hardware, and finishing details, you can compare colors, textures, and materials side by side before making your selections.
Seeing and touching products in person can make the decision-making process much easier than relying on photos alone. Our design team will help you coordinate selections that complement one another while keeping your style, functionality, and budget in mind.
Our showroom also provides access to a wide range of quality products and materials, giving you the opportunity to explore options for every aspect of your kitchen or bathroom remodel in one place.

Visualizing Your Vision
Once you’ve narrowed down your selections, the next step is seeing how everything works together. Our design process allows you to compare cabinet colors, countertops, backsplashes, flooring, and other finishes as a complete palette rather than making each decision in isolation.
Some homeowners know exactly what they love within minutes, while others prefer to take their time and explore several combinations. There’s no right or wrong approach, and you won’t be pressured to make decisions before you’re comfortable with them.
We typically begin with the larger design elements, such as cabinet style and color, followed by countertops. These selections establish the foundation of the room and often represent a significant portion of the kitchen remodeling budget. From there, we can coordinate flooring, backsplash, hardware, and other finishing details to complement the overall design.
The goal is simple: create a combination you love and feel confident about before your remodel moves forward.
Finishing Touches
Once the major selections are in place, we move on to the details that complete the design. Lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, molding, appliances, storage features, and other finishing elements all play an important role in how your new kitchen or bathroom looks and functions.
Our detailed selection process helps make sure nothing gets overlooked. Depending on your project, we’ll consider details such as microwave and appliance placement, pendant and recessed lighting, outlets, garbage disposals, ventilation, under-cabinet lighting, cabinet finishes, countertop edges, crown molding, tile patterns, flooring direction, islands, pullout storage, spice racks, tray dividers, and other organizational features.
These smaller decisions may not seem significant individually, but together they can make a major difference in how well your finished space works for everyday life.
We can also use CAD layouts and design visualization tools to help you better understand the proposed layout and see how your selections work together before construction begins.
