Legacy Warranty Notice

Previous Kopke Companies & Current Warranty Policy

As of September 1^st, 2019, the Kopke business was purchased by its current owner and has operated under new ownership ever since.

Prior to the sale, remodeling projects and warranty certificates were issued by companies including:

• Kopke Home Enhancement, Inc.
• Kopke Remodeling and Design, Inc.

These companies were owned and operated by Dave Kopke and have since been dissolved. Kopke Remodeling and Design is a separate company under different ownership and is not the same legal entity as the previously dissolved companies.

Supporting Legacy Customers

Although Kopke Remodeling and Design is not the legal issuer of warranties provided by the former companies, we recognize the value of the Kopke name and appreciate the homeowners who chose Kopke for their remodeling projects.

As a customer service courtesy, we have voluntarily reviewed and honored eligible workmanship warranty requests from the previous companies whenever reasonably possible.

This courtesy will remain in effect through December 31, 2026.

Effective January 1, 2027, Kopke Remodeling and Design will no longer provide warranty service for projects completed under the previously dissolved companies.

Why This Change Is Necessary

Unfortunately, when ownership changed in 2019, very little historical project information was transferred to the new ownership.

The records received generally included only:

• Customer name and address
• Approximate project completion date
• A very brief project description (for example: “Bathroom Remodel,” “Kitchen Remodel,” or “Window Replacement”)

Detailed project records such as contracts, specifications, product selections, drawings, change orders, installation notes, warranty registrations, photographs, and material information were not transferred to the new ownership.

In addition, customer contracts and project documentation from the former companies were not retained long-term, making it impossible to verify many warranty claims or determine exactly what products, materials, or installation methods were originally used.

Because of these limitations, and because Kopke Remodeling and Design is a separate company under different ownership, it is no longer practical or responsible to continue servicing warranties issued by businesses that no longer exist.

Current Kopke Remodeling and Design Warranty

Every qualifying project completed by Kopke Remodeling and Design includes our:

2-Year Limited Labor Warranty

Our warranty covers defects in the workmanship performed by Kopke Remodeling and Design for a period of two (2) years from the date of substantial completion.

Manufacturer warranties continue to be provided by the individual product manufacturers. We are happy to assist our customers with manufacturer warranty claims whenever possible.

Our decision to honor legacy warranties through the end of 2026 was made out of respect for those customers and the reputation of the Kopke name. Going forward, our focus is on continuing to provide exceptional remodeling services backed by our own workmanship warranty for every project we complete.

Notice to Previous Customers

Because complete customer records were not transferred to the current ownership, and very few email addresses or other contact methods were available, we have been unable to notify many previous customers directly of this policy. This notice has been published to provide clear communication regarding legacy warranties and our current warranty program.
